RESUMO
Objetivo principal: Comprender los significados psicosociales y las expectativas del tratamiento que tienen mujeres supervivientes de cáncer de mama. Metodología: Durante 2018-2020 se realizó un estudio fenomenológico en el que se entrevistó en profundidad a doce mujeres. Resultados principales: La vivencia les afecta profundamente durante el diagnóstico, tratamiento y en etapas posteriores; reconfigurando la forma como perciben su cuerpo, las relaciones de pareja o familiares, el estilo de vida y el autoconcepto. Las mujeres perciben presiones sociales relacionadas con las formas de afrontar la enfermedad, se simulan fuertes en el ámbito público y flaquean en la intimidad. Conclusión principal: Las mujeres viven el tratamiento a partir de lo que dictan los dogmas de género y en un contexto patriarcal donde la identidad de madre soslaya la de persona. Transitar por el tratamiento les implica reconfigurar su personalidad y sus relaciones sociales. (AU)
Objective: Understand the psychosocial meanings and expectations of women breast cancer survivors of treatment. Methods: During 2018-2020, a phenomenological study was carried out in which twelve women were interviewed in depth. Results: It was identified that this experience profoundly affects them during diagnosis, treatment and in later stages; reconfiguring the way they perceive their body, couple and / or family relationships, lifestyle and self-concept. Women perceive social pressures related to the ways of coping with the disease, they pretend to be strong in the public sphere and they weaken in intimacy. Main conclusion: Women experience treatment based on what gender dogmas dictate and in a patriarchal context where the identity of mother ignores that of person. Going through treatment implies reconfiguring their personality and social relationships. (AU)
